I have liked this series. Superficial in some ways, but clever blend of magic and sci-fi, and I eventually got used to the alien relationship. OK, what happened here? Two nearly identical space station battles. Or was it three? Interesting characters getting killed not long after you meet them. Why not just make them dead already and save the time. And the way it was resolved was a little too easy. The author just had written enough words and so wrote his way out of the dilemma so that a formerly un-resolvable situation just went away, literally. Hopefully the sequel will get back on track.

Good read
Awesome new series with unique character development and a unique twist of both magic and futuristic technology.
Enjoyed Books 1 and 2 in the series, not so much 3. For me I miss the original group of characters and interactions. I understand Book 3 is a continuation of the story, but it just felt lacking. The action, story and sexiness are still there, but felt different from Books 1 and 2. Regretfully, this makes me hesitant continuing into Book 4. Still appreciate Jason’s efforts.
Jason did it again, he wrote the BEST third book ever. Aden and Twyt love is real, the author makes you feel the love they have. I wish that we could feel that way. This book has the most action of the three books. I hope book four has alot more Aden and Twyt in it and can't wait to see how Seph, Nicko and Aden sister get together with Aden and Twyt. Book Four better be soon.
The enemy is ticked off with our hero and heroines and wants to hang them up by their toenails. Secrets are revealed, new characters are introduced and the enemy is knocking at the door. Mr. Halstead is becoming one of my favorite new writers and I hope the next books are just as good as this one. I really enjoyed it and I would recommend it to science fiction aficionados.

I was hoping the sex would die down since we made it to book three. It got worse! All Twyf is moan, groan, and act like a sex slave. I skipped to the end, and this will be the last of this series I buy. It seems whenever there is a problem, one of the crew miraculously has the answer, whether in knowledge or new powers. While the over all story arch is good (ancient powers being re-released on the galaxy), I prefer books where the characters have some depth to them. Dune or Kris Longknife this series is not.
