Deep in an underground vault, Bozzle received a message. He dreaded making it known, but they would find out if he concealed it. That started off the adventure, with the reader immediately drawn into the story!Annie was nervous, waiting for a delivery of the flowers and vegetables for her orchard business. She did not like the man who worked for her and delivered the order. She wore a ring her grandfather had made for her and uttered the words he taught her, “bloodstone protect me”, to calm herself. In the distance, she heard a wolf howl.
To her surprise, after months of not seeing her husband, he arrived on her birthday. She really didn’t like him, but if he came near her, it was like being under a spell and he was all she could think about. Then he took her to bed and sprinkled something on her face. He was going to make her his, he said. But she whispered “bloodstone protect me” in her mind, and her ring got so hot that her finger burned! Cole’s eyes changed and she was frightened but unable to resist or even move – and then he bit her!
Pack enforcer Gabe Madoc was tracking down a stolen enchanted stone. He knew Cole had stolen it. How far was he willing to go to get it back? And how would this affect Cole’s wife, Annie, especially if Cole’s bite was about to change her into something else that she was unprepared for?
The book starts off a bit slow, but raises enough questions that the reader is engrossed and wants to find out more. I did not like Cole at all, which is the author’s intent. So she did a good job in defining the characters and letting the reader feel the correct response to them. The story was good and I recommend it.

Very enjoyable book. Somewhat different take on shifters. I do wish we could have spent more time with Gabe and Annie at the end. It was quite the journey to get there. I definitely recommend this book. Enjoy! 😀
I loved this book , can't wait for the sequels . It had twists that you would never see coming . The action , romance and just the characters were beyond expectations . If you are a fan of fantasy this book is a definite read . I did receive a advanced reader copy to review . But loved the book so much I bought it .
Gabriel and Annie have an unusual way of meeting as he's the man/wilf who killed her husband ( a thief who gave him no choice). The intrigue, mystery and magic is well written, just took me a bit to figure out who/what/when /where and why was f it, then it was smooth sailing. Not so much for Annie who has to rely on Gabriel to see her thru her first "change" into a werewolf all the while not understanding her attraction to him . 4⭐'s and I'm definitely getting the next book in the series .
Excellent beginning to a new series with strong, complex characters, paranormal elements, action, adventure, suspense and heartwarming romance. I was immediately drawn into the middle of the Uncanny World and couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see what would happen next. I loved the chemistry, dynamic and sweet romance between Annie Belo and Gabe Madoc. I can hardly wait to read the next book in this riveting series.
Wild Things is a really good read .Well written with complex characters this book is full of action and emotion that will keep you turning pages to see what will happen next .Annie has been betrayed in the worst way by her husband and when he winds up dead she will have to rely on sexy Gabriel if she hopes to make it .Gabriel wasn't looking for a mate and never expected to feel the way he does since he first laid eyes on Annie things get real interesting hehehehe .Gabriel and Annie's road isn't an easy one its full of danger and passion .The imagery and story line the author has created have you falling into the story and forgetting about the real world.So if you are looking for a book to get swept away in then snag a copy of Wild Things.Two thumbs up.
L. K. Rigel's Wild Things is a great read. It started out a little disturbing for me, and I almost didn't read it, but I decided to keep reading. I am so glad I did! Although she has a tragic story, Annie Belo is a likable character. I seriously wanted to throw her out a window, at first. But, as it turns out, there is a reason for her behavior in the beginning. I actually enjoyed Annie, Gabe, Ruah, and Zara. The story line is great and the twist for Miss Annie, well, that was awesome! The premise is interesting, as are the characters, and it was hard to put down. Looking forward to reading Wicked Games.
