Hundred Halls Book 2 did not disappoint. Admittedly, there was one scene with Aurie in the beginning(ish) that I was not crazy about, however that is just my preference. It was not vulgar or explicit, just creeped me out personally. :) I finished this one in 4 sittings or less as well. I think the sisters are strong characters, and very well written. . Love how we go back and forth between the two sisters. I just love this series so far.. The author does not rehash the entire first book (I can not stand series books that spend chapters doing just that). We do not get pages and pages of unnecessary visuals. I actually can picture the scenes as he writes them, and I am not typically good at that. There are not many books that I will reread (just too many books, too little time), but I do see myself rereading these, and being sad when the series eventually comes to an end (yes, I know it is just beginning). I enjoy the world Mr. Carpenter has created, and I really enjoy these characters. I would happily recommend this series to my friend's 13 year old daughter without worry of sexual or inappropriate content, and I enjoyed them myself very much. I absolutely can not wait until the third book comes out.Tags : Amazon.com: Web of Lies (The Hundred Halls Book 2) eBook: Thomas K. Carpenter: Kindle Store, ebook,Thomas K. Web of Lies The Hundred Halls Book 2 eBook Thomas K Carpenter Reviews
The characters and the world drew me in pulled me forward. Plenty of levels to this story and plenty more directions to go in future books. Overall a fun read.
Thomas Carpenter takes you in the the Halls and continues the story of the sisters and their magic. A definite must read.
A time when lies come in handy, to save the day, a life, or to win the price. A suspenseful tale.
I was so happy that the Web of Lies was released so quickly after The Trials of Magic. I enjoyed it even more than the first book in the Hundred Halls Series. The world that the author created is complex and interesting. I love how he wove the different parts of the story together, and had some interesting & unexpected twists to the plot. The creative non-human characters, evil villains & likable heroines all make the series a must read. If you enjoy fantasy, and are a Harry Potter fan, this series is for you.
The sisters advance, and are thwarted. I loved it. Not only that, it sets the stage for the next book. Start at book 1 for maximum effect.
This book is just as amazing as the first in this series. I love the characters and the plot twists that keep you reading and wanting more. I have told all my friends and family about this series and the feedback from them is positive and asking are there more???? I can't wait for the next book and to follow the young ladies this book is about!
Second year in the hundred halls bring new challenges for the sisters. New enemies, old enemies, new loves and new friends conspire to keep the sisters moving through life. The characters are becoming more believable and richer in personality. 18 and up.
