My Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

I LOVE LORENZ FONT! When my book club picked this book I was super uber excited to start reading this one! Her writing captivates me and leaves me yearning for more. She drawls you into the story and takes you on a roller coaster ride of epic proportions.

So here goes…

Every have one of those days? Well Greg Andrews was definitely having one the day his best friend shot him on a hunting trip in remote Alaska. Sarah Jones was not prepared for a gunshot victim to be brought into her tribe’s small clinic. She is only a pre-med student and the doctor on call is not answering his phone! So she does what she is trained to do. She saves him, even sharing her own blood in the process. When the tribe leader, aka her father finds out he is furious and exiles her from the tribe. Cutting off all ties and funding in the process. Overdramatic much?

Forced to make it on her own Sarah returns to California to finish medical school. Working part-time isn’t cutting it. She knows that she is going to have to find a way fast to pay for the rest of her tuition. That’s when fate steps in….ok fate kidnapped her and threw her on a plane but who’s judging?

Greg aka the handsome, sexy and rich kidnapper gives Sarah a offer she cannot refuse….move in with him, transfer to Columbia to finish her studies and assist Greg with his injuries. Ok so Greg may have faked some of his injuries so that Sarah would stay. Truth is since he saw her in that small Alaskan clinic he could not get her out of his mind.

They are complete opposites, but the heart wants what the heart wants. And slowly Sarah finds herself falling for this mysterious man. But between their fathers, the age difference, Greg’s soon to be ex and the man that shot him life seems to be making it impossible to be together. Will love prevail? (The ending is amazing!)

Favorite Scene: When Greg was shot (the first time lol)

Favorite Quote:

Smiling, Greg lowered his mouth and brushed his lips against hers. The indivisible line between them was now a mere imaginary divide they'd already conquered.

I must admit, I usually just read paranormal books, so it takes a lot from the book for me to actually to like it, so I was happily surprised when I found myself enjoying reading this book.

Sarah is a young medical student who is helping her tribe clinic in small town in Alaska called Beaver.
Her father Ahila seems to wait big things from her, like taking over the clinic when she graduates and arranged marriage to Trimble, who would this way become the next leader of their tribe, but he is actually in love with Sarah’s best friend Lily who loves him too.
Greg goes to hunting trip with his best friend after he informed his wife that he would be divorcing her and soon after they land he gets shot. Some members from Sarah’s tribe find him and hurry him to the clinic where Sarah must act fast to save his life, which ends up her getting banished from her tribe.
Greg can’t forget the woman who saved his life and makes everything he can to find her, and makes her a deal she can’t refuse.

I admire the kind of character Lorenz had written Sarah to be, strong, honest and sensitive. It made me feel like I was her character which made it easier to get inside her character.

To me this story was about duty, honor and most of all love, and I can say with my sincerest thoughts that this book is the one you won’t want to miss and I am glad to give it full five stars.
This is an inspiring book. Two people that are meant for each will unexpectedly meet somehow somewhere and their true love will find a way to overcome any bumps on the road.

I can't believe reading a book can make me cry. It touches so many realities in our life; love and death, family and friends. A lifelong partner that completes your life and stand by your side until death. Family that gives you life's best foundation and support when face to a challenge. Friends that draw from each other strength and courage.

I admire the author's creativity in adding an unexpected twist in the story. This book will be enjoyed by different age group. I am glad that my 22 year old daughter and I each bought one; we were able to read them at the same time. (The first book she picked after college graduation.) I excitedly recommended this book to some of my friends and other family members. So far, every single one of them enjoyed and loved it.
